Hi everyone.
I still don't have a date for the funeral but it will be in London.
Ann has said that because Clare wasn't very religious, and she has lost whatever faith she had now, she doesn't want some vicar who didn't know her droning on. So Syd will start things off by saying a little speech, then she has asked me to tell people who are coming, that anybody can stand up and say something about Clare if they would like to. So do feel free to prepare something, it will have to be fairly brief so others get the chance. Ann
won't be saying anything as it will be too upsetting and I don't think I will be able to either.
There will be music playing throughout and I'm trying to compile a CD of some of Clare's favourite songs. As you all know, Clare loved her music and this is turning out to be quite tricky as death metal or Dave Pearce's dance tracks somehow don't seem quite appropriate in the circumstances. I know we all had specific songs we will remember her by that she adored and so if there's any you think are fitting please do let me know. Her mum has given
me her suggestions and obviously I have my own having been dragged to rock nights, her first rave and various other gigs and dance floors in the 15 years I've known her. I don't know what I will do without my music teacher. Who will I pick up off the floor now?
I'll let you know any more arrangements when I get them.
It doesn't get any easier does it? I called her landline yesterday to hear her voice but it made me laugh as she had her posh voice on.
Sniff.
Julie.
