Dear Rosee,

I am so saddened to hear the news about Clare. What an awful thing.

Would you let her folks and relatives know that she has friends all over the planet who thought the world of her and cry for her?

Best

Steve

Hi Rosee

You probably won't know who I am - I'm Carol, Clare's friend from work - we sat opposite one another, and started our jobs at about the same time. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for keeping me in the loop of details that you sent to others, and apologies for not emailing you sooner.

Julie said you were going to visit Clare on Thursday night, when we were going to also see her. How very sad we didn't get to see Clare - sometimes things just aren't meant to be, but I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that we all got to share some very special times with her. Hopefully we will get to meet.

With best wishes

Carol

Oh how cool! If life is not a not a bitch as we have been led to believe over the past few days, then Clare must know about this up there...
Don't worry about a copy, I just wonder how you can isolate the appropriate section & upload to the blog or link it to the blog

Did you get the photos I scanned from Peter?

How is Clare's mum coping- has Julie contacted you in the past 2 days?

Tania

I did indeed. Dave Pearce should be sending a CD version of the show. He mentioned her twice along with a signed photograph.

I agree with Kitty. Stevie Nicks would be a great choice

Hi Anne

You know you can call me any time. I listened to Stand back".

"I'm not really that familiar with Stevie, I just know Clare loved her music.

I am definitely going to have Catch the Rainbow by Rainbow as it was a song she loved and introduced me to and it is beautiful. Do you know it?

I just listened to Sara and you're right! It is definately going on. I remember her playing it on several occasions. Please-if you think of anything else let me know. I'm finding it hard to get the 'appropriate' ones. I'm going to push it a bit with sweet child of mine (the rock bit at toward the end) but it is so Clare.

Thank you very much. We'll be starting with Clair by Gillbert O'sullivan. I didn't know the song but Clare used to dance to it with her mum. That has had me in pieces today. The funeral is going to be so difficult.

Thanks again. I love this song! More please.

Hey Julie,

Firstly, you have my deepest sympathy for your devastating loss and my respect as you were Clare's best friend and all that you have done for her and her Hong Kong friends, keeping us all in the loop.

For me I would go for Sarah by Stevie Nicks because it is such a beautiful track, and I think more appropriate. I don't want to step on anyone's toes here play it and see what you think. If you don't have it I'll get my hubby to send it to you 'cause I don't know how to do that via this (computer). It was definitely the first one we would always put on when we were having a Stevie Nick's night. I think it would be so right at Clares funeral. Stand Back is a great track but I don't think it is appropriate.

Take good care

Hi Julie

Listening to Dave Pearce now and thinking of Clare"

"In terms of music Anne mentioned something about Stevie Nic
ks and I know that Walking Away or Seven Days from Craig David's album are great tunes which remind us of Clare. I have Craig David.

Anne do you have Stevie Nicks?

you used the pic i sent you yesterday! it was one of the few she had with her hair down, she'd just been to the hairdressers and had it straightened and loved it but was still trying to tuck it behind her ears. We were in Ben crouch's and it was her birthday. I think it was 05. God I miss her.

I have a lot to contribute but right now I'm struggling with just writing the emails to everyone. I love everyone's stories. Most of which I have already heard. I'm so glad I met Anne all but briefly (tho stuart would think it was not brief enough as they were very late going back to their place) That too was in Ben C's.

One of the things i want to send you is what i wrote for a dating website called mysinglefriend.com Clare didn't edit what i wrote though we agreed later that the website was shit as beacuse everyone was put on by their friend, no one bothered to look for anyone, just waited to be contacted! I also asked for the impossible as I was too honest about Clare idea man. It was just a summary but was still a few paragraphs. You couldn't sum her up in less.

Thank you so much for doing this.

I've had the worst day so far, bawling and sobbing wise. And now I am nearly out of vodka.
